Background

An experimental AI concept designed to test new end-to-end workflows in Weavy, a node-based AI platform.

The challenge

The project explored Nano Banana’s capabilities for maintaining character consistency across multiple angles, using the framework of a conceptual men’s perfume ad inspired by insect characteristics and behaviour.

What I did

The idea.

Combining creativity with technical experimentation, I drew on the graphic design influences of my youth, from David Carson and Ray Gun magazine to the Dexter and Se7en title sequences to craft a surreal, darkly humorous narrative in which insects evolved into humans.

What I did

Creative exploration.

The workflow combined multiple AI tools to achieve consistency and style cohesion throughout the process. I began by building master images in Midjourney, combining image and style references to establish the dark, gritty tone. Within Weavy, I orchestrated a multi-model pipeline using Seedream 4, Nano Banana, and Magnific to refine image quality and create structured variations.

Gemini Flash 2.5 proved particularly effective for generating dynamic camera angles, while Seedream 4 handled adaptive typography more reliably than Nano Banana. For motion, I used Kling 2.5 to generate video sequences and Hailuo Minimax 2 to produce kinetic text and overlay effects. The audio was composed and voiced with ElevenLabs, and final grading and assembly took place in DaVinci Resolve.

Outcome

I published a full walkthrough of the node based workflow on LinkedIn after requests for a tutorial on my process, the post received over 20,000 impressions & more than 280 reactions on LinkedIn.
